SOURCE: Battery dead on 2010 Volkswagen tiguan. keyless. The end of the door handle (the part that doesn't move when you open the door) is actually a plastic cap under which hides the real keyhole. The first and most common is when it won’t turn over. This just means that the engine doesn’t move when you turn the key. The second way that your Tiguan won’t start is when the engine turns when you engage the starter, but it won’t fire and run on its own.
It's exactly the opposite and it's the combination that we didn't try. All the buttons have to be pushed IN to turn them Off. So, the REAR and the two reading lights all pushed IN turns them Off. Thanks!!! 164 people found this helpful.

If you’re wondering why your Volkswagen engine isn’t starting, it’s very likely not something as obvious as a dead battery.
(BCM sent authentication to keyless controler and control TSG to unlock or lock doors) If BCM can not be active by Keyless system controler,whole vehicle networ system will be in sleep mode except BCM and Keyless controler.
There are of course are a number of reasons why your beloved Volkswagen might be refusing to start.
If the engine still doesn't seem like it wants to start, probably fuel is getting into the cylinders and your problems lie somewhere else. However, if the engine runs momentarily and dies, then the problem is that fuel is not getting to the cylinders. Check for a clogged fuel filter, or a bad fuel pressure regulator.
