Coming to CPU, The A13 Bionic is based on 64-bit Fusion Architecture. Apple is claiming as A13 Bionic has the fastest CPU in a smartphone. It is a Hexa-Core CPU with 2 Performance cores and 4 Efficiency cores. The 2 Performance cores are clocked at 2.65GHz and called as Lightning.
As of the Apple A13 chip, there were no drastic changes in the CPU cores. Instead, the company relied upon boosted clock speed to get improved CPU performance. The A13 was about 20% over the A12 (in Geekbench 5). With the A14, Apple is using its proprietary Six-Core CPU Configuration.
On the other hand, A12 Bionic powered iPhone XS Max has scored 4,820 points on single-core and 11,257 points on multi-core. The A13 Bionic is a definite improvement over the A12 Bionic with much emphasis given on machine learning and GPU performance.
