I knew the Acora Acoustics SRB two-way monitors were on their way, fresh on the heels of the Acora Acoustics SRC-2’s Summit Award. Plus, I was still fixated on the idea of an Amea with the $10,000 diamond tweeter option, or the SE version of the Stenheim Alumine 2. I had work to do.

The manual recommends that the loudspeakers not be toed-in to the listening position, so perhaps the SRB's balance will improve to its sides. Fig.4 shows the Acora's horizontal radiation pattern, with the off-axis responses normalized to the response on the tweeter axis, which thus appears as a straight line in the center of the graph.

Sep 18, 2019 . Here at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2019, Acora Acoustics has paired with Esoteric, Aurender, and Cardas to transform a gargantuan show space into a two-ring circus of decidedly high-end sound. In contrast to the Long Beach show where I first heard Acora Acoustics’ largest of its three speaker offerings, the SRC-2 tower in a small-ish hotel room.

When you first listen to the Acora Acoustics SRB loudspeaker, we humbly suggest you keep your eyes closed. The SRB delivers such a wide, tall and engaging soundstage, you may not believe the sound is coming from the diminutive SRB. You will hear nuance and depth to the music. We believe you will hear many things you simply hadn’t before.
Acora Acoustics loudspeakers are constructed using hand-crafted, specially treated granite enclosures. The rigidity of granite far exceeds that of traditional particle board or wood enclosures.
As you listen to the Acora Acoustics SRC-2 loudspeaker, you will hear immersive space and imaging. You will hear deep, authoritative yet articulate bass. You will hear fine detail and depth. Acora loudspeakers will reveal many things you simply haven’t heard before. What you won’t hear is the enclosure.
Introduced in December of 2018, the 92dB efficient One.R is a complex system with a High Velocity Folded Ribbon (HVFR) tweeter, two 5¼” cast-basket mid/bass drivers, and three 5″ x 9″ long-throw subwoofers coupled to four 7″ x 10″ quadratic planar infrasonic radiators that extend “usable bass performance” down to 13Hz.
Ever since he was 16, Valerio Cora, the founder and self-taught designer of Acora Acoustics, has designed speakers with enclosures made from unusual materials including various types of rock. Countertops, sure, but speakers? Why granite? Because granite is extremely hard, dense, rigid, and well-damped.
Acora loudspeakers are made in Canada from a specific black granite from Zimbabwe called Nero Assoluto (Italian for "absolute black"). Cora says it's the strongest of all granites, with the smallest, most homogenous crystals, and is least likely to warp.
The SRC-2 utilizes world-class drivers and a hand-built crossover network, however the real secret to the Acora Sound, is that you only hear these, not the enclosure. Every now and then, you come across a product that not only offers world-class performance, but is visually stunning as well.
