Remove all batteries from the sensor (or sensors). Remove all batteries from the display then press and hold the reset button for 20 seconds if applicable. Wait 1 minute to ensure that any remaining battery power has discharged from both units. Reinstall batteries in the outdoor sensor (or sensors) first.

Oct 03, 2011 . I went to the store today and got an Acu-Rite themometer/humidity thingy. When i thured it on, it immediately said the temp was 79 and the humidity was 16%. I put it in the 'bator and the temp went up to 99 but the humidity stayed the same. I left it there for a few minutes and no change. It it not working? Do i need to give it more time?

If you’ve tried everything else on this list but your Acurite Weather Station is still giving you issues, then resetting it might help. First, locate the reset button inside the battery compartment of the display unit. Press and release this button to factory reset the weather station.

Once the AcuRite logo screen appears, please unplug the display and remove the backup batteries, if applicable, for five minutes to allow the unit to power down entirely before restoring power. After power is restored, you will now set up the display by ing the on-screen prompts.

Change the A-B-C switch on both units to a new, matching ABC channel then press and hold the reset button on the display for 20 seconds if applicable. Reinstall the batteries in the outdoor sensor. Once the batteries are inserted you should see the red LED light blink approx. every 16 seconds on the front of the sensor.
The red LED light should NOT stay on continuously. Reinstall batteries and/or power cord into the display unit then immediately press and hold the reset button again for 20 seconds if applicable. Let the units sit within a couple of feet of each other for approximately 5 minutes or until you see a solid sensor signal on the indoor display.
