Airmega only publishes a noise range of 22-52 dB (which I assume is dBA) for the 400S and room coverage of 1560 sq ft at 2 air changes per hour. The Airmega published room coverage data (based on 8 ft ceiling height) lets you calculate the maximum air flow as 416 cfm at the highest speed, which is a pretty decent rate when compared to other premium air filters.

The Airmega 400 runs at 120V and 60 Hz up to 66 Hz. It’s Energy Star-certified. It can clean a 28’ x 28’ room with 8 ft. ceiling about 4 times per hour. That’s 24,960 cubic feet for those of you who don’t want to do the math. With the auto mode, the unit won’t run with more power than is necessary.

The Airmega 400 looks rather like and is about the same size as a small bedside table. So you’ll need a bit of space for it, especially since it shouldn’t be right up against a wall. You can’t use it as a table, however, since the vent is on top and cannot be blocked.

We’ll cover this shortcoming in-depth at the end of this review This is a review for the Coway Airmega series of air purifiers. We specifically tested the 400s but much of our review also applies to the 400 the 300 and the 300s as these units are all very similar.
The 400S is equipped with Wi-Fi,* so that you can control your Airmega anywhere and at any time through the Airmega mobile app, including Smart Mode (Auto, Sleep, Eco) and real-time air quality monitoring.
This is a review for the Coway Airmega series of air purifiers. We specifically tested the 400s but much of our review also applies to the 400 the 300 and the 300s as these units are all very similar. The 400 models are slightly larger and heavier with about 60 to 80 more CFM of output.
The ACH stands for Air Changes Per Hour and this rating tells you how many times per hour the unit can exchange the full volume of air inside a specific size area. For 1,560 sq. ft., the Airmega 400 and 400S deliver a 2X ACH rating. This means that all of the room air is recycled two times each hour.
