This itinerary covers both National Parks across 3.5 days, which will allow you to see the best of both parks. The trip I outline below will take a total of 5 days (4 nights). It makes the perfect long weekend road trip from anywhere in the United States!

    You can drive much more directly to Bryce Canyon National Park thanks to the construction of the Zion-Mt Carmel Highway (RT 9 connector) in 1930. It’s a highly scenic stretch of road with its switchbacks and sweeping views back to Zion’s towering cliffs and the Great Arch.
