Yes, if you are mechanically minded, you can regulate your own Camac harp. (L&H harps too, but they are a little more complicated). A Camac harp comes complete with a very nice toolkit and manual of instructions. The company also has very good customer service and their head technician, Liza Jensen, lives in New York City, USA.

The Harp maker Lyon & Healy began research and development for an electroacoustic harp in the early 1980s. Currently, both Lyon & Healy and Camac harp-makers produce electroacoustic pedal harps. (See: L&H style 2000 and Camac Big Blue.) Each string of the electroacoustic harp has a pickup that transforms the acoustical sound of the string into an electrical signal.

Harps made by Camac are like all harps in that they are made of wood, hand crafted by skilled artisans, the strings are made of nylon for the first octave, gut for the 2nd through 5th and bass wires. They have a standard pedal mechanism that operates the key changing disks.
