You can use a wick trimmer or even a pair of scissors. This will ensure that your Candle burns a little longer and safer. We hand cut each Candle wick before delivery so your first burn should be ok but make sure to keep it cut after, if it gets too long. Optimal wick length should be under a centimeter.

Plan on burning the Candle for at least an hour but no more than 4 hours. The wax needs to pool from edge to edge about 1/2″ deep. Not burning the Candle until the wax pools to the edges can cause the Candle to tunnel and burn incorrectly. Trim the wax to 1/4″ after each burn. Taking care of the wick will allow your Candle to burn properly.
