As a desperate measure I checked how to reset and recover the coordinates with Candle, in the hope I could resume the work from where I was but I don’t think we can tell Candle to re-start from a given G-code line. This is a free and open-source program that talks to your CNC by a serial USB connection and provides a variety of functions. Candle can also be downloaded on its own for Windows from this link, Please note that the file linked is stored in a compressed .zip file.

Step 1: At the time of day you would like to have your Candle turn on, press and release the green button on the bottom of the Candle (do not hold the button for 3 seconds, just press and release to turn the Candle on). Step 2: While looking at the top of the Candle, press and hold down BOTH of the buttons on the bottom of the Candle for 6 seconds.
To start Candle click on the shortcut or directly open the Grblcontrol (Candle).exe Connect your CNC via the USB cable and start Candle. Ideally you should see something like the screenshot below: If, instead of "Port Opened" you have a red Alarm state in the status box, this is actually good!

What is Candle software? Candle GRBL software is free to use, basic CNC machine control software. It is very uncomplicated and as such is perfect for a beginner. It incorporates a G-code visualiser and only has the essential functions you need for running your G-Code programs.
It incorporates a G-code visualiser and only has the essential functions you need for running your G-Code programs. Although only having a minimum of functions can be limiting, it drastically reduces the ‘information overload’ that can occur if you are still unfamiliar with Cnc machining.
The first button is the ‘ home Button ’. When correctly set up, the ‘Grbl Candle home’ function will home your machine to a predefined point, this can be used if your machine is equipped with limit/home switches.
