All Capture cards have latency. I don't know of any that have less than like, 3 frames of lag, regardless of operating system or software involved. Your display will add at least 1 frame to that, so the usual recommendation is: don't use Capture cards for this.

May 20, 2005 . I have an nVidia card (somewhat older, MSI 5900XT) with a video-in Capture chip. I can Capture video using some cheesy DVD software that came with the card, as well as "Windows Movie Maker." So, the card works, and all drivers are properly installed.
