The name of the machine control software from Carbide 3D is Carbide Motion. Think of Carbide Motion as the cockpit of your CNC machine. This software allows you to jog your machine, home your machine, load G-Code, create offsets, and allows some manual control of the machine via the MDI.

This page is intended as a supplement to the official user guide for Carbide Create at: http://docs.Carbide3D.com/assembly/#carbide-create and to the page on Carbide Create here on the wiki. Note that when first launched, Carbide Create will start with an initial logo graphic. This will likely need to be deleted as part of the initial setup.
Carbide Create is not a 3D CAM package. 3D file formats (STL, STEP, IGES,) are not compatible with Carbide Create and require a different CAM package all together.
