The Corsair Hydro X Series XC7, or simply Corsair Hydro XC7 henceforth in this review for my own ease, is a companion CPU water block to the (slightly) higher-end Hydro XC9 in that the latter targets Intel and AMD HEDT platforms and uses a metal trim cover and this one is marketed for Intel and AMD mainstream CPU sockets and uses a plastic trim cover as seen above.

Posted October 7, 2019. So i decided to clean my Hydro X Series XC7 CPU block, in doing so i increased my cooling temperatures. I cleaned off the pre applied paste and switched to. Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut 12.5 W / m · K 1 g thermal grease (-200 to 350 ° C) After undoing the block and resting my temps dropped around 8c on average (5-10c total)

Place the XC7 RGB with pre-installed LGA-1200 MOUNTING BRACKET onto the motherboard (Figure 1). Secure the XC7 RGB onto the motherboard by tightening the screws by hand until you reach the end of the thread. Tighten the screws evenly, preferably in a cross-pattern (Figure 2).
