What is Flector? Flector Patches contain diclofenac epolamine, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Diclofenac epolamine works by reducing substances in the body that cause pain and inflammation. Flector patches are used to treat pain caused by minor sprains, strains, or bruising.
Keep both used and unused skin patches out of the reach of children or pets. If you use Flector long-term, you may need frequent medical tests. The Flector patch may burn your skin if you wear the patch during an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). Remove the patch before undergoing such a test.
Diclofenac works by reducing substances in the body that cause pain and inflammation. Flector is used to treat pain caused by minor sprains, strains, or bruising. Flector may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Do not apply Flector on an open skin wound, or on areas of eczema, infection, skin rash, or burn injury. Wash your hands after applying or removing a Flector skin patch. If the patch does not stick well, you may place medical tape around the edges.
