This tracked chassis from DAGU Electronics makes a great base for building a small tank-like RC vehicle or autonomous robot.
DAGU Rover 5 chassis with Orangutan SVP robot controller and additional electronics mounted to an RP5/Rover 5 expansion plate (narrow). With only four motor leads and two battery leads, it is easy to interface the chassis with most dual motor controllers and robot controllers.
The outer dimensions of the chassis are approximately 9.5" long, 9" wide, and 3" tall in its default, flattened configuration (with the front and rear gearboxes mounted at an angle of 180° to each other). DAGU Rover 5 tracked chassis, bottom view, showing adjustable gearbox assemblies.
Simply connect the battery holder leads to the controller’s power source and the motor leads to the controller’s motor driver outputs. Each set of motor leads is terminated with a female 3.96 mm pitch, 3-pin JST VH-style connector (the middle pin is not used), which our male premium jumper wires plug into nicely.
Once you know what you device actually own, you can start looking for the manual online. Most of the time, the easiest place to find instruction manuals is from the manufacturer’s website. Visit their site, go to any “Support” or “Customer Care” sections, and see if there’s an option somewhere for downloading manuals.
User manual is an integral part of any product, and if it is sold or transferred it should be handed over jointly with the product.
Another reason to look for instruction manuals online is when you lose them (e.g. moving home), have thrown them away, or simply cannot find them. Most brands – Apple Iphone/Watches, Samsung, Vizio, Fitbit, LG, Siemens, Whirlpool, etc. – offer PDF manuals and guides on their own websites.
When buying new goods, the instructions for use are put inside the box together with the product; nonetheless, it often is the case that the instructions lack sufficient detail, may not even be in English, or may indeed be missing altogether.
