Jun 01, 2018 . I have some trouble with some angles giving incomplete cut-through on 3mm mdf; I hoped the Z Offset might address this but it seems to make no difference. I have calibrated a few times; Under Laserweb it was -2.27, Under LightBurn I find it hard to pick between -3 and -4. Using a magnifier and the eyes of another I chose -4mm.

The Emblaser Core is designed for the hobbyist who is looking for an affordable laser cutter / engraver that is simple to assemble and maintain. It utilises the same core technology as the Emblaser 2, the electronics, optics and laser system, providing amazing performance for a solid-state based laser machine.
Clearing fumes is critical to maintaining clean optics and optimal cutting. Use the inbuilt fume extractor to vent fumes outdoors or add the our Fume Filter System to safely filter fumes for complete indoor use. An In-built camera shows a live view of the workspace allowing easy alignment of materials. All colors except white.
LightBurn Software. LightBurn is the latest software for your Emblaser. It is Windows and Mac compatible and supports all Emblaser machines. Allowing all users on a computer to use the same 'System Locked' licence: A System Locked license is locked to the specific computer it is installed and activated on.
The Emblaser Core is our easiest to assemble kit to date. We pre-assemble and calibrate all the tricky parts for you, such as the Laser Unit. Combine this with the fully illustrated Step-by-Step instructions and the Emblaser Core assembles in half the time of the original Emblaser 1.
