To install your DECKORATORS post caps, we recommend using an exterior-grade construction adhesive to adhere the cap to the post. Apply the adhesive liberally to the inside of the cap, and then place the cap firmly over the top of the post. DECKORATORS was started in 1998 in St. Louis, Missouri, not making decking but low maintenance aluminum railing for decks. In 2005 UFPI, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, acquired DECKORATORS which had their own line of composite decking under the name Latitudes.
Who are they, and where did Trex and DECKORATORS come from. Trex was one of the first innovators of composite decking, inventing and manufacturing their first board in 1996. This single colour board was patent in 1998, and they have since developed four lines and 20 colours of decking.
