If your Dymo LabelWriter is printing labels offset, this is usually caused by the label spool sitting loose in the printer. To correct this problem, re-seat the label spool in the printer by following this guide. The label spool is sitting loose in the printer.
We recommend storing Dymo LabelWriter labels in a cool dark place, and this can as simple as being stored in a desk drawer or a cupboard / cabinet. If you're in an air conditioned environment, they'll be fine sitting on a shelf or on a desk, so long as you keep the labels in the black plastic.
None of the Dymo LabelMakers use ink, they just use the self contained tape cartridges. If the print starts to fade this is almost always an indication that the batteries need replacing.
They'll stand up to a little bit of water - as long as it's wiped off pretty quick. To counter the effect of water, Dymo also manufactures some labels that are made from a plastic / polypropylene material which is 100% waterproof . * Download the Dymo LabelWriter Durable Labels Technical Data Sheet here *
The printhead on a Dymo LabelWriter is designed to last around 2,000,000 (2 million) inches. If you put that into perspective, it is a lot of labels. To be more precise, if you were printing just Dymo Address labels (these measure 3.5 inches long) you could expect to print around 571,428 labels. And suppose you printed 100 labels per day, every day of the year, it would take over 15 years to print your 2 million inches of labels.....
