A minimum #2 gauge wire is required. For further electrical connection questions, please refer to pages 5 & 6 of the E-Z Anchor Puller anchor winch Manual. HOW MANY AMPS DOES THE ANCHOR PULLER DRAW? The anchor winch requires about 65 amps at no load and while dropping the anchor. When pulling the anchor, amperage will go from 65 amps to 150 amps.

Apr 21, 2004 . Re: EZ Anchor Puller Mike the drum is a good idea. Keeps the mud and smelly gunk out of the boat. They are common on commercial fishing vessels dropping and pulling anchors all the time and don t have to mess with fowled anchor line. Two issues: that ez puller only yanks 300 lbs. and it s worm gear driven. Still, better than a windlass, imo.
