So if you can look clearly past your nostalgia, the Eastwoods have the look of those old quirky cheapies, but with the utility of a modern guitar. Also be aware not all Eastwood are created equal.

SPROING! They look like the old models, but underneath, it's just another cheap import. They look the part better than they act it. I have an Eastwood bass and I think it's a fine instrument for the money. Plays well, sounds decent, stays in tune and such. Nothing super special, but I only paid $300 or so for it.
