Fallprotec's products all comply with EN795:2012 for a use by one person. Since work in height must be carried out by multiple people simultaneously, Fallprotec tests all systems up to 2 or 4 people. Type A refers to single anchors. All Fallprotec anchor points are certified according to the type A.
EN361 describes the safety harness regulation for full body harnesses. Fallprotec harnesses are all certified according to EN361. Whether you need several anchor points, a featherlight harness or an integrated saddle, Fallprotec can provide the best-adapted solution and a fall arrest harness training.
Fallprotec offers a large variety of systems that comply with EN353-1 such as cable lifelines SecuRope QuickSet, SecuRail or SafeLadder with integrated fall arrest systems. This European Standard specifies the technical requirements for vertical flexible anchor line which can be secured to an upper anchor point.
F. RESTRAINT: The full body harness is used as a component of a restraint system to prevent the user from reaching a fall hazard. Restraint systems typically include a full body harness and a lanyard or restraint line. 1.2 LIMITATIONS: Consider the following application limitations before using this equipment:
• Full body harnesses with Kevlar web should be used when working with tools, materials, or environments of high temperature (foundries, chemical manufacturing, steel fabrication, emergency rescue services, fire services, welders, oil industry, nuclear industry, explosives).
E. CONTROLLED DESCENT:For controlled descent applications, harnesses equipped with a single sternal level D-ring, one or two frontal mounted D-rings, or a pair of connectors originating below the waist (such as a seat sling) may be used for connection to a descender or evacuation system (reference in Z259.10 in Canada).
