To operate the CSL Elite Wheel Base, a FANATEC Steering Wheel with quick re-lease is required (e.g. the BMW M3 GT2, the Porsche 918 RSR or the Univer-sal Hub). Just plug your steering wheel onto the quick release and get started. Connect the CSL Elite Wheel Base to your PC or PlayStation 3 system by using the USB cable.
• Only use FANATEC®steering wheels with the CSL Elite Wheel Base V1.1 base. • Do not try to use the CSL Elite Wheel Base V1.1 with an external power source different from the power supply packaged with the CSL Elite Wheel Base V1.1 or received from an authorised repair centre.
5.3 Hardmounting the CSL Elite Racing Wheel The CSL Elite Racing Wheel offers a three-point hardmount location on the bottom side of the CSL Elite Wheel Base (see the right hand side picture below.)
FANATEC says you shouldn't drive the bolt into the wheel deeper than 16mm (for their CSL wheelbase). The wheel deck on my rig is 5mm thick and I used washers, so I ended up with M6x20mm bolts. Thanks...I'm not sure of the thickness cause I just ordered it and cant find the specs of the thickness of the plate online anywhere Google the manual.
