Upon receipt, the customer must inspect the goods immediately for flaws, condition and/or quality. Any blatant flaws must be reported to us, in writing, within 10 days of their discovery the same is valid for any latent defects. Otherwise, the warranty for these defects is no longer applicable. The warranty is for 12 months after shipment.

Dear FANATEC. I would like to ask about order. The purchase date of the preorder is 27 Apr 2020. The shipment date is 04 Jun 2020. So the warranty expiry date is 04 Jun 2022. FANATEC wheels cost too much to only be expected to last a year and the fact they are unrepairable is an absolute joke. 2 yr warranty should be a minimum anyway. The least they could do is try to repair your wheel or even offer no fix no fee...they are not budging one bit.

I bought it new in box from a major US retailer and now FANATEC is claiming their warranty is irrelevant unless I purchase directly from them. FANATEC sells premium priced products but apparently is going to try to duck out warranty support on nonsensical technicality when their shifter fails after 2 weeks of use.

This exclusion for changes also applies if a warranty claim would generally exist according to the above conditions. The warranty service can only be claimed if the guarantor is enabled to check the warranty case which shows that the goods, including the RMA number (assigned by the FANATEC Support Department) have to be returned.
Care must be taken to avoid damage during transport by appropriate packaging. If the product is not already registered in the FANATEC customer account of the policyholder, a copy of the original invoice (to be uploaded as unchanged PDF file in the support area "Register product") must be provided for the warranty claim.
