Aug 14, 2017 . In the new Taranis Q X7 there's an S.Port connector in the bottom of the radio. The manual just says it's for 'future use', so it isn't clear whether it is operational or not... I was asked to connect an FSD (FrSky S.Port Dashboard) to the Q X7. I thought I will just use this port at the bottom, but there seem to be no voltage there.

We discussed these two options earlier and I was good on using the module bay pins as I would on a Taranis or Plus being my first version Qx7 was missing the lower pins. It was reading about this on other (so many) forums, that it was said that both options weren't available in the latest otx2.2.

Jan 25, 2017 . FrSKY Taranis Q X7 - the younger full-featured radio. All this concern about end points and range being compared to systems at 2 to 5 X the $105 QX7 cost makes me chuckle. So for those that have the 2 to 5 X $, why even bother with with the Qx7 or this thread? You know you'll never be happy with a Qx7, or for that matter, a Frsky product.

Model files are compatible with Taranis X9D/X9D Plus/X9E/X7. Open source firmware OpenTX installed. FrSky receivers in the D8/D16/LR12 mode, Taranis Q X7S-EU version is not compatible with D8 mode.
