How to apply GEL polish Use a Base Coat – always start with a Base Coat. This is so the GEL will adhere to (stick to) your nail – forget the base, and your GEL manicure won’t go to plan! Apply using thin layers – each coat MUST be applied using a thin coat. Too thick, and the GEL won’t cure properly and you’ll end up with lumpy, bubbled GEL polish.

I believe this is a 50/50 mixture since the Up2You bottle contains 7.5ml of liquid, and you add another 7.5ml of lacquer to the bottle. You fill it up just to the bottom of the neck of the bottle. The GEL polish should then be applied thinly and cured under the UV lamp for two minutes, or on the LED light for 30 seconds. If the color is not strong enough, reapply until the desired color effect is achieved.

Apply GELish Top It Off GEL from cuticle to free edge using a thin, light application. Place hand in LED Light for 30 seconds or 36 Watt UV Light for 2 minutes. Wipe off the tacky surface residue with GELish Cleanser. Apply GELish cuticle oil to the skin surrounding the nail.
Optional: Apply GELish Structure GEL and cure. (read more about GELish Structure GEL here) Apply the first coat of the GELish colour polish of your choice. Cure the polish in your LED or UV lamp (read more about lamps here).
It's recommended to use GEL polish as a system to ensure the optimum result. GEL base coat such as GELish Foundation Base GEL. GEL top coat such as GELish Top It Off. Nail cleanser such as CND Scrubfresh or GELish Cleanser (blue liquid) GEL nail polish such as GELish Soak-off Polish or Daisy GEL Nail Polish.
