Oct 10, 2011 . Sheet film needs to be cut to 21/2X21/2 dimensions. The Hasselblad film cutter mentioned earlier was the way to do it when 21/2X31/4 sheet film was available. The film cutter was made to accomodate the 2/12 width and you just needed to cut the film to the proper length. It would be rather simple to do the cutting in complete darkness.

Dec 02, 2019 . Hasselblad film backs come in a number of generations, types and trims. You frequently see references to Type I, Type II, Type III and Type IV film backs. I don’t know if those are official terms; in used stores, you see all types of name references: black button, V-button, “labeled as 6×6” and many others.

Create to inspire. Hasselblad is the leading manufacturer of digital medium format cameras and lenses. Hasselblad cameras are renowned for their iconic design, uncompromising image quality, and high performance.
Hasselblad and various third-parties made and supported a number of instant and sheet film holders for use on Series One, Two and V-System cameras. Sheet film holders are a bit of a curiosity. They required 2 x 3 sheet film to be cut down to size and were sold with an accompanying film cutter – more on that a little later.
All 200 Series bodies, dedicated film magazines, lenses and prisms/viewfinders are easily identifiable by the parallel blue stripes you can see next to the bottom dial in the image above. The Hasselblad 203FE and 201F were added to the 200 Series line-up in 1994.
In 2002, they introduced the H-System, retroactively renaming their original camera line the V-System. The H-System marked an essential transition for the company. It dropped the traditional Hasselblad square negative format, instead using 6 × 4.5 cm film and a new series of lenses.
You pay a premium for medium format cameras like the Hasselblad H6D-50c, but are rewarded with incredibly detailed 50-megapixel images, a tough build meant to endure daily professional use, and a versatile modular design. PCMag editors select and review products independently.
There are two different versions of the H6D. The H6D 50c sports a 50MP sensor and retails for $25995. The 100c has, as you probably guessed, a 100MP sensor and has an MSRP of $32995. Comments on this article may be moderated before they are made public.
The 50c is one of two models of the H6D offered by Hasselblad. It uses a 50-megapixel image sensor that's smaller than a 645 film frame—it measures 43.8 by 32.9mm, notably larger than the 24-by-36mm sensors used by 35mm format cameras.
