Many will claim you can spread the plastic and get a wrench in there, that's BS. I removed all my hatch interior panels and even the rear seat to do it right. A PITA and frankly for as little as I open my hatch I don't think I'd care to replace them again if I had to. A waste of 5 hours and $70 for the new struts... LHD 1993.5 NA/Auto 040. Save.
