The Hawker 900XP is equipped with the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite with four 8in x 10in high-resolution Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Displays (AMLCD). The Hawker Beechcraft Hawker 900XP is a development of the Hawker 800/800XP mid-sized business jet with improved payload capabilities, enhanced performance and upgraded systems.
The Hawker Beechjet is a twin-turbofan light business jet that evolved from the Mitsubishi MU–300 Diamond, which was certificated in November 1981.
The late-2000s recession was particularly hard on Hawker Beechcraft, and the company laid off 490 Wichita employees in early 2009. The next month, Jim Schuster announced that an additional 2,300 employees would be laid off by the end of the year and that orders had slowed drastically.
The history of Hawker Beechcraft originated in 1994 when Raytheon merged its Beech Aircraft Corporation and Raytheon Corporate Jets units. In 2006, Raytheon sold the company to a consortium of Goldman Sachs and Onex Corporation.
Originally, it was a brand of Beech Aircraft Corporation, an American manufacturer of general aviation, commercial, and military aircraft, ranging from light single-engined aircraft to twin-engined turboprop transports, business jets, and military trainers.
