Like other manufacturers, Hitachi makes a variety of video projectors, and each model has slightly different maintenance requirements. There are a number of common problems that may surface from time to time, including blank or blurry images, maintenance warnings and apparent power failures.
If your projector isn’t turning on when you push the power button, do the following. Check the control panel if it has a status or indicator LED light. Refer to your user’s manual or the maker’s website for explanations or solutions if the light is on. Check the input.

If the LED on the projector is blinking when the projector powers on, then do the following. Consult your user manual for specific details since this guide only covers general information. A blinking LED typically means your projector lamp is exhausted.
Turn on the TV in the normal manner and check if it turns on OK. According to the service manual if it doesn’t turn on after performing a power reset it may either be a faulty mainboard or a bad display panel.
Adjust the screen settings if the picture is washed out or not visible, but your Hitachi TV is still producing sound. Access the main menu through the remote "Menu" button, select "Settings," and use the remote arrows to adjust the brightness and contrast until the picture meets your standards.
