Just fixed mine. unplug the unit and empty the water. remove the center section and take the screw out of the water level sensor (white piece). turn unit upside down and tap to get both white parts to fall out. the donut shaped part is the float. clean out the area where the float belongs as the float was probably stuck in the "no water position". reassemble and fill the water. it should work.
