Except in legal references, where the abbreviation id. is used in place of ibid., the term is rarely used nowadays. Chicago discourages the use of Idem, recommending instead that the author’s last name be repeated.
Section 1 of the law is retroactively effective to January 1, 2021 while Sections 2-14 are effective on July 1, 2021. Most permits issued since January 1, 2021 will be unaffected by the new law, and previously approved mitigation plans remain in effect. Idem will provide guidance prior to the implementation of the new law.

To help keep electronics out of landfills, Idem is partnering with Technology Recyclers to host two E-Waste collection events at the Indiana Government Center. The collection events will be open to all state employees and will be held at Robert Orr Plaza.
Idem administers a general permit program that targets construction activities that result in land disturbance of one acre or more. The construction stormwater permit program is intended to reduce pollutants, principally sediment, that are a result of soil erosion and other activities associated with land-disturbing activities.
If the land-disturbing activity results in the disturbance of less than one (1) acre of total land area, but is part of a larger common plan of development or sale, the project is still subject to storm water permitting. In Indiana most construction projects are administered through a general permit.

Additionally, the Permits Staff oversees the implementation of Indiana’s Cross Connection Control and Backflow Prevention Program.
