Interconnects do however still make a difference. True, neither type of cable will make a huge difference. Swapping the cheap and nasty NE5532 Op-Amp in a CD-Player Output-Stage for a really nice one (like the AD811 or my favorite Nat Semi LM6172) makes more of an audible difference. To get the ultimate from your system, you need the right cables.
Not sure if turntable interconnects are a different category than digital sources, so need help on what to choose. no more than $500 each would be a nice limit. Thanks. You can use regular interconnects with your TT but if possible phono specific cables can have an edge.
Interconnect cables of about 1m (3') lengths rarely have an inductance of more than 1uH. At 20kHz a 1uH inductor will have an impedance of about 0.13 Ohm, causing an additional -0.0001db attenuation.
The Cable inductance also matters little as long as it is kept moderate. The higher the load impedance is, the less relevant the Cable inductance becomes, the lower the load impedance is, the more relevant the cable inductance will become. Interconnect cables of about 1m (3') lengths rarely have an inductance of more than 1uH.
These color-coded connectors are the cables responsible for transmitting the audio signal between each of its connected devices. Although they were designed decades ago, they’re still commonplace in today’s technology.
SVS SoundPath Interconnect Cables have a substantial feel thanks to their uncompromised design and build quality. They feature pure copper conductors, 24K gold plated brass connectors and a precision-engineered five-layer dielectric insulation system to reject all RF and electromagnetic interference.
These color-coded connectors are the cables responsible for transmitting the audio signal between each of its connected devices. Although they were designed decades ago, they’re still commonplace in today’s technology. You’ve probably seen those red and white ports on the back of a DVD player or TV set—they’re ports for RCA cables.
I like Amazon basics cables, they are inexpensive, appear to be well enough made and work, what more do you want? I use them at home now as I've found them to be entirely satisfactory. I used to fly, but I go the modern way now, by bus. One could argue that totally subjective posts ultimately improve this board's dynamic range. Click to expand...
