Jakarta is a big city. Istiqlal is the bigest mosque, but i also suggest you to visit al azhar @ kebayoran baru, there will be more activity there. Stay @ pakubono area or the gunawarman is nice and i think within a budget. Nice shopping mall pacific place or senayan city, plaza senayan is also in the area.
