Jeff Rowland Design Group Model 2 power ... - Stereophile.com

Aug 04, 1995 . JEFF ROWLAND was one of the first audio designers to tout the benefits of fully balanced (differential) circuitry; needless to say, the Model 2 is not one of those amps that has balanced inputs but whose circuit topology is actually unbalanced. A fully balanced design like Rowland's requires essentially double the components of an unbalanced ...

Jeff Rowland Design Group Model 1 power amplifier

May 14, 2016 . The JEFF ROWLAND Design Group, in the few years that they have been internationally visible in the audio high-end, have become solidly entrenched as one of the industry's heavyweights. But their Model 1 amplifier is almost petite, a significant departure from their flagship—the three-men-and-a- (husky)-boy-required-to-lift monoblock Model 7.

JEFF ROWLAND Design Group 201 amplifier. Beautifully made (it is certainly the best-looking Class D amp of the lot, with a body carved from a billet of 6061 aluminum and a wavy faceplate straight out of Rowland’s Classic line), the 250Wpc JEFF ROWLAND Design Group 201 monoblock amplifier is the second-best Class D offering I’ve heard.

Jeff Rowland Corus preamplifier and 625 power amplifier review

The JEFF ROWLAND breaks the stereotype of alienation, that is usually associated with the audiophile hobby – the loneliness of an old nutcase, pointed out by the rest of his family and remaining few friends, not sharing the same hobby. Instead it offers intuitive user-friendliness and a sound, you are willing to share with others.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the Jeff Rowland Design Group a high-end audio brand?

The JEFF ROWLAND Design Group, in the few years that they have been internationally visible in the audio high-end, have become solidly entrenched as one of the industry's heavyweights. But their Model 1 amplifier is almost petite, a significant departure from their flagship—the three-men-and-a- (husky)-boy-required-to-lift monoblock Model 7.

  • Is the Jeff Rowland Design Group 201 Monoblock the best Class D amp?

Beautifully made (it is certainly the best-looking Class D amp of the lot, with a body carved from a billet of 6061 aluminum and a wavy faceplate straight out of Rowland’s Classic line), the 250Wpc JEFF ROWLAND Design Group 201 monoblock amplifier is the second-best Class D offering I’ve heard.

  • What is Jeff Rowland’S separated amplifier?

Ladies and Gentlemen – enter the beautiful separated amplifier from a company that makes products being a feast for the ears and eyes – JEFF ROWLAND: the preamplifier Corus, and the stereophonic power amplifier 625.

  • Is Jeff Rowland’s attractive?

JEFF ROWLAND offers an incredibly attractive, and almost palpable, illusion. With unusual grace it enchants and delights, but it knows, that we know, that it is an illusion. It is a clear gentlemen’s agreement, nobody forces no one to do anything against his or her will.

  • What is the Jeff Rowland design group Continuum S2 amplifier?

Moving on, the JEFF ROWLAND Design Group Continuum S2 integrated amplifier is beautifully made and unusual. The first part is a given—we’ve all seen those gorgeous faceplates with the undulating and hypnotic patterns buffed into the solid blocks of aircraft-grade aluminum. (Did you know JDRG refers to the faceplate as the “console”? I like that.)

  • Is the Jeff Rowland Design Group conductor the best phono stage?

The JEFF ROWLAND Design Group Conductor is obviously one of the finest phono stages I’ve encountered, a quiet and capable (and yes, gorgeous) piece of kit that brought my enjoyment of vinyl to an entirely new level.”

  • Why is Jeff Rowland’s Continuum so unusual?

But the Continuum is unusual because it is so beefy and heavy and yet it’s slightly more compact than you expect it to be. This has been JEFF ROWLAND’s signature for a long time, putting a lot of solid-state amplifier into relatively small boxes.

  • What is the HP phono card on the Jeff Rowland continuum?

The JEFF ROWLAND Design Group Continuum S2 integrated amplifier is not a new product, but it does sport a new feature—the HP Phono card. When JRDG’s Lucien Pichette approached me to possibly review the latest Continuum, that was the selling point. Or, as Lucien explained: “It’s the closest you can get to the Conductor without being the Conductor.”
