Using a Jetboil is even easier than a traditional French press. You don’t have to pour piping-hot water from a kettle into a glass container. Instead, you can boil the water, let it sit for a second, and then pour the grounds right into the rugged Jetboil container. The coffee press is made to fit the container, too.
For a 10 oz. cup of coffee, you’ll want 3 tablespoons of coffee for a lighter brew, or 5 tablespoons for strong coffee. Pour your hot water into the French press container with the grounds, and stir the grounds up into the hot water. Then set the French press plunger on top of it.
It gives you fresher-tasting coffee than a percolator. It’s less gritty than cowboy coffee. It’s less work than pour-over coffee. And it gives a richer, fuller flavor (and more of a wake-up) than instant coffee. But whatever method you prefer, Jetboil has a solution.
This grande-sized press is compatible with Jetboil MiniMo, SUMO, and SUMO TI cooking systems, along with 1-liter short and 1.8-liter spare cups. Also available in regular size; measures 4.6 inches in diameter and 7.2 inches tall; weighs 1.05 ounces. One-year limited warranty.
