In a departure from our traditional offerings, CAT began the development and manufacturing of micro turbines for remote control (RC) jet models in 1998, at which time “JetCat” was born!
With our "JetCat-PRO" interface, the Engines can easily be used for RC model applications. The PRO interface has already integrated the full functionality of our telemetry adapter! These versions consist of a brushless and non-contact starter/generator system.
After the engine starts, the ECU battery is charged by the generator with high power charge current which is fully automatic along with the voltage. Initially, the engine’s battery must be charged in the no-load state. Using the optional JetCat BMS System, suitable receiver batteries can also be charged.
The JetCat PRO Engines offer maximum integration and installation. All system equipment required for turbine operation is fully integrated under the turbine hood. Apart from the supply battery, the fuel tank and the control signals, no further external subsystems are required!
The standard P300 / P400-PRO-LN Engines have a "normal" starter motor, without generator (to save costs, e.g. for hobby applications). With our "JetCat-PRO" interface, the Engines can easily be used for RC model applications. The PRO interface has already integrated the full functionality of our telemetry adapter!
The new JetCat-P1000-PRO offers the highest level of integration for SIMplest installation. All the necessary peripheral systems required for operation are fully installed under the front fairing of the turbine. No additional external peripherals such as ECU, valves or ignition system are required.
Power is optionally supplied via the power cable with XT60 plug for direct battery connection.
