Engineered from the finest carbon steel, the Bridgestone JGR irons Series: Tour B JGR HF1 irons forged irons have a solid feel and approach in three distinct models. All of the irons feature Bridgestone’s ensure Contact and introduce a sole heel shaping, that encourage the sort of turf interaction favored by better players.
The shaft has a higher balance point and a softer tip profile for higher launch. The JGR will be available in 9.5, 10.5 and 12.5 degree lofts in right hand models only (at least for now – potentially forever). The stock grip is Bridgestone yellow, but custom grips and shafts are available.
The all new power rib design is used to maintain maximum sole stiffness through impact. The Boost Wave Crown found in the TOUR B JGR Driver allows the crown to flex at impact. When coupled with the Power Rib Sole, initial ball velocity and launch both increase to create more distance.

The current 18 car came under JGR control when owner Joe Gibbs purchased the No. 44 Shell Oil -sponsored Pontiac from his Cup Series driver Bobby Labonte, who had been operating the team under his control. The team made its debut under the Gibbs banner at the 1998 NAPA Auto Parts 300 with then- IndyCar driver Tony Stewart driving.
The team scaled back to a part-time schedule for 2004. In November 2003, JGR signed highly touted USAC Champion J. J. Yeley to a multi-year contract, beginning his stock car career with eight ARCA Menards Series events and 10-12 Busch Series races in the 2004 season.
