With this new Reliance Jio self-sim block/suspend feature, the customer can easily suspend your Jio number for a particular period. The latest feature is mostly helpful for the users who lost their Reliance Jio 4G SIM card or their smartphone/JioFi/MiFi device and can temporarily suspend their SIM for the time being.
Step 1: Login to the official website of Reliance Jio network by visiting here. Step 2: After logging in, locate the new option called 'Suspend and Resume' on the official website. Step 3: Clicking on the 'Suspend and Resume' option will give you two options - SIM Damaged and SIM/Device Lost.
After logging into your account, you can see an option called as ‘Suspend and Resume.’. There are two choices under the Suspend feature: SIM Damaged and SIM/Device Lost. Although they differ by names, their functionality is the same. Choosing an option will suspend your mobile number.
To Deactivate a Jio connection, just log into the web portal and sign in using your Jio id. Tap the settings icon and navigate onto Suspend and Resume tab to expand the options. Select your reason and tap suspend. Please note Jio may still prorate you or charge for the entire months service if you don't raise a request to surrender your connection.
Here are the steps to resume the services. You need to head to the Reliance Jio official website and click on the Sign In button. Enter the Email ID and password which is linked with your Jio number. Now, click on the blue-colored setting icon. This will expand the setting menu and show a list of settings.
Click on the blue gear icon, to view a settings page. Now select Suspend & Resume, select a valid reason from drop down (SIM damaged, SIM/Device lost). Click Suspend, you’ll receive an SMS confirming the suspension of Jio account.
