These antennas are expertly designed - broad banded and very well constructed. The telescoping aluminum elements with stainless fittings and hardware were easy to put together. JK Antennas, which recently donated a new two-element, 40-meter Yagi to Maxim Memorial Station W1AW at ARRL Headquarters, has followed up with a XR5-JK antenna for use by the Laird Campbell Memorial HQ Operators Club station W1HQ, located adjacent to the ARRL Laboratory.. The five-band XR5-JK replaces a multiband antenna that was no longer functional.

VERY well made antenna Time Owned: 6 to 12 months. JK has the best mechanical design of any antenna on the amateur market. These antennas are very solid and will have no trouble surviving Minnesota winters. Electrical performance is outstanding. I also have the JK-65 6 meter beam and the (discontinued) TX-38D tribander.
