Under the jurisdiction of the International Standardization Organisation (ISO), the Global Kitesports Association (GKA) and an international team of engineers and experts developed an industry-wide safety standardization classification for quick-release systems on kite bars that is legally valid worldwide.
This new standard, ISO 21853, for quick-release systems on kite bars and safety leashes is in force as of 14 th February 2020.
The standard not only provides the kite industry with a new testing technology to ensure their equipment conforms to the state-of-the-art safety requirements of ISO, it also enables consumers to choose products that fulfill the standard and thereby helping them to stay safe while practicing the sport they love.

JN Kites, named after its founders in 2003 Bernd Jochum and Michael Nesler, might be known to you without realising it. Not only did they design kites for some of the big brands in the industry before 2003, but you might also remember that kite with the huge, funny looking flower on a kite…?!
The Wild thing eight meter, five strut, five line, bridles with pulleys kite also has the same well working one-pump system as the other two kites and the same quick inflate as the MR. Fantastic. The fifth line system assures a perfect working safety system.
