While known for their "clean" sound and use of Burr Brown Op Amps, the new Joemeek uses Burr Brown Op Amps in the mic amp circuit as well, but as a result of the EQ and compressor, it offers up a much more "colored" sound. The older VC3Q units used a 5532 Motorola chip so it brought more colored sound to the mic amp.
