This kit uses a special version of the WinKeyer2 v23 controller which provides direct paddle inputs and true dual keying port capability. WK Serial runs at 3.3V, which means it will work at a very low RS232 voltage swing like you would find on a laptop PC.

If you want to skip reading the Quick Start Guide, go the FTDI driver page here. Unplug WKUSB and then download and run the Windows setup executable.

There is so much information on the K1EL website that it is hard to digest at first. The three files you need to download from that website are the WKUSB Quick Start Guide, WKTEST and WKMGR. The Quick Start Guide explains how to set up the WKUSB. WKTEST helps you select the COM port for the USB connection to set your personal preferences on the keyer.
