3.1 Mounting of couplings, and short direct sensor in MULTICAL® 403 flow sensor The short direct sensor from Kamstrup may be installed in PN16 installations only. The blind plug which is mounted in the MULTICAL® 403 flow sensor from the factory can be used in connection with both PN16 and PN25.
To ensure a high data security, the data communication from each Kamstrup meter is encrypted with an individual AES 128-bit encryption. This means that the consumption data from the meter can only be decrypted by the associated READy Manager and by the mobile units authorized by that READy Manager.
For mounting in existing heating installations with standard angle tees Kamstrup A/S can, furthermore, supply R½ and R¾ brass nipples fitting the short direct sensors. The short direct sensor can also be fitted directly into all Kamstrup's ULTRAFLOW® variants with G¾ and G1 thread on the meter case.
