I was given a Kantronics Kam Plus yesterday, but without cables and software. The cables I can make, I think, but my cursory review of the Internet suggests that the best, and maybe only, software option to run this TNC is Digital Desktop, at $150, from the company that sells Ham Radio Deluxe. That is too steep a price for my liking.

Anytime you see this command prompt, your KAM Plus is in the PACKET Mode of operation. After you first turn on your KAM Plus it will monitor PACKET data received on HF and on VHF. As packets are received, the KAM Plus displays them on your terminal.
