Today, Katanas are often seen in Japanese manga comics and anime cartoons. Katana is the name of a DC Comics character. Several forms of martial arts include the use of Katanas, generally without a sharp edge for safety reasons. Would you like to draw a cartoon Katana?
1. Begin by outlining the vase. Use a short curved line for the top and a long curved line, doubled back upon itself, for the vase body. 2. Draw a curved line across the top to section off the vase’s mouth. Use two curved lines to enclose a gently double-pointed shape, outlining the vase’s lip.
Samurai wore their Katana on a belt-like sash called an obi. The blade faced up so that the wearer could draw the blade and strike in a single motion. Only samurai were permitted to wear the Katana in daisho style, paired with a smaller sword or dagger.
The pommel is located at the very end of the hilt and is basically a cap on it. In Katanas the end cap is generally about the same size as the handle part. You can simply define it with a line same as the blade collar. In this case we will add a very large edge found in some types of Katanas.
