KaWeCo has consciously chosen for the local production of the machines. The sheet steel for the tanks is rolled under our own management and all welding work is also carried out at our location in Hengelo (Gld.). Only the treatment and painting is outsourced locally. In this way, we at KaWeCo remain in control of the final quality of our machines.

The KaWeCo Special FP is a soft hexagonal shape. So, even though it doesn’t have a clip, the hex shape keeps it from rolling away. The grip section is round but very short. Luckily, the pen is not very widde so there is not a big step up to the barrel making it easy to move your hand up or down the body of the pen as needed for gripping.

Sep 13, 2012 . TWSBI Diamond 540: 28gms. Pricewise, these pens are fairly competitive as well. Obviously, the KaWeCo Sport is the least expensive (depending on the model between $20-$25) and the Lamy Studio is the most expensive (again, depending on the website one can be had for $75-$100). The Pilot Prera, the TWSBI and the KaWeCo Student are all about $60.

Info about KaWeCo Sport. Close. 4. Posted by 12 hours ago. Info about KaWeCo Sport. Dear friends, I am willing to buy a KaWeCo Sport pen, but I am still undecided about the model. Isn't the Brass version too heavy to write? Does it not cause any effort to those who use it? Is the colored aluminum version affected by scratches?

Mar 08, 2022 . Featuring KaWeCo's signature compact design, the Sport line has maintained its stylish functionality ever since its creation in 1911. The KaWeCo slogan "Small in the pocket, great in the hand" is embodied by this fountain pen—it's compact when capped (4.1 inches long) but very comfortable when posted (5.2 inches long).

Unposted, the Supra weighs 42g (1.48 ounces) so it still feels hefty, but the length is cut down to around 12.5cm (5.25 inches). The unposted Supra is the same length as the posted Liliput. But that isn’t the end of the Supra’s options. This pen consists of the cap, the nib section, and two body sections.

Aug 27, 2014 . Review: KaWeCo Leather Pen Holder. I recently acquired the KaWeCo Eco Leather Cognac Brown 2-pen case ($21). I was excited to finally have a case for my little favorite pens. The cognac brown leather seemed like a nice option to the classic leather 2-pen pouch ($20). It’s designed to hold two Kaweso Sport pens or pencils.

KaWeCo’s EF and F nibs seem to be excellent out of the box. The most surprising thing about the KaWeCo Special is how well it writes when posted. It makes it a really long pen but it is light and well-weighted. I did end gripping the pen a bit further back than other pens but the slim shape makes that an easy, comfortable transition.
While packaging won’t make or break anyone’s pen buying decision, it might affect a decision to make a second or third pen purchase. The KaWeCo Special FP is a soft hexagonal shape. So, even though it doesn’t have a clip, the hex shape keeps it from rolling away. The grip section is round but very short.
KaWeCo pens take standard international converters and cartridges which adds to the ease of use in an office environment. Who doesn’t have a drawer of cartridges? On the cap end is an engraved KaWeCo badge in silver. It’s the only silver besides the nib on the pen. (Psst! Hey, KaWeCo, black nib, black badge…. Blackout Edition. You’re welcome.)
Unlike the cheaper KaWeCo models, the Student ships with a silver nib rather than the gold tone. I was worried it wouldn’t be as smooth on paper but it writes just as smoothly and has the exact same embellishments on the nib.
