LS50 Meta is such a loudspeaker, and enhancements over the legendary LS50 include Driver Performance Optimisation and patented off-set flexible port for the best acoustic performance and an incredible immersive sound. LS50 Meta’s low-diffraction, curved baffle is precision modelled around the Uni-Q driver array.
One of the most important of these is that the LS50 exists as a solo model (albeit in both passive and active versions) rather than as part of a range. By grouping it in the same category as the Blade and Muon, the LS50 was pitched as a bit of affordable esoterica.

Compared with the original LS50, the LS50 Meta has many improvements. The main improvement is the addition of a component called the MAT (Metamaterial Absorption Technology). Kef compares this technology to a sound “black hole” to process and absorb sound waves from the driver’s back.
