The specified runtime of the Mu3 is a whopping nine hours. That’s enough for a flight from Frankfurt to New York. With the help of the charging case, the mileage can even be extended by a further 15 hours. And: The first five minutes of charging in the case should be enough for another hour of music enjoyment.

Mu3 is the new chapter in the sound and design journey of Kef and Ross Lovegrove. Renowned for his innovative approach and flowing, sculptural forms, Lovegrove and Kef have already created the Muon and Muo.
True wireless earbuds may be everywhere, but the Kef Mu3 is a great contender. It has great sound, making it a fine option for music and speech. The design and comfort are good, and the connection strength is consistent. The lack of aptX or LDAC support might be a drawback for some, and you won't find ear detection here either.

The Mu3 response curve (cyan) is a very close fit to our ideal response shape for this type of product (pink). The Kef Mu3 has a very pleasant sound profile that reproduces music and speech material well.
Kef has dabbled in the headphone market since 2013, experimenting with both over-ear and in-ear models over the years, however it’s fair to say the hi-fi giant hasn’t set the headphone market alight. But could all that be about to change with the ambitious Mu3?
