The Turbo Kenevo is, hands down, the most capable e-mountain bike to hit the dirt. You’re looking at 180 millimeters of supple suspension configured around a bomber chassis and components. Kenevo takes you up the longest climbs—no shuttle or spare lung required—and delivers a stellar rip on the way back down. FASTER IN THE ROUGH

In terms of weight, Specialized claims the Kenevo Expert comes in at 24.58kg, while the Kenevo Comp weighs in at 23.63kg. These weights are actually about the same as the previous version, even though the frame has dropped a full kilo. This is because Specialized has put the weight back on with burlier parts, such as the BLK DMND tyres.

The Kenevo is available in sizes S2 through S5 and we opted to run the S3 as most of our 5’11ish riders prefer snappier, playful bikes opposed to longer sleds. It was a compromise either way, but we’d rather have a reach of 470mm than 495mm. The front center on our S3 is 809mm and has a 64-degree head tube angle with a 77-degree seat tube angle.

Sizing and geometry on the Kenevo Expert are a bit interesting as it falls in Specialized’s newer “S” sizing structure. The Kenevo is available in sizes S2 through S5 and we opted to run the S3 as most of our 5’11ish riders prefer snappier, playful bikes opposed to longer sleds.

Both the electric Kenevo SL and Levo SL are targeted at riders looking for electrical assistance but turned off by the weight of a traditional e-MTB. We have a size S3 S-Works Kenevo SL in for testing and it weighs 20.7kg. The mid-range SL Expert comes with a smattering of Fox and in-house Specialized and Roval parts.
