Like other reef keepers, I was impressed, not only with their simplicity but also the quality of light. It was reminiscent of the bright, shimmering light produced by metal halides. It wasn’t flat and devoid of life, like common LED output.

  • What can you not appreciate about the kessil ap9x?

One of the first things we mention in the video, and that you can’t appreciate in pictures, is just how physically small, thin, and very light the Kessil AP9X has become; it’s so small yet it puts out a surprising amount of light into the aquarium.

  • What makes kessil LED lights so good?

Just as we’ve seen in some of the newest LED light releases, Kessil has included more actual diodes, crammed them into their dense matrix array, and drives them at lower power for more overall efficiency and better heat dissipation.

  • How much does a kessil aquarium light fixture cost?

Clocking in at 185 watts, $839, and with a unique form factor in the aquarium hobby, this is one fixture that many Kessil fans have been waiting for. This light is strong enough to spread throughout the water and penetrate till the bottom of your tank. Kessil A360X has a penetration capacity of 24 to 30 inches. You can also choose to use the narrow reflector to penetrate deeper, but this accessory has to be purchased separately.
