Kept it anyway even though the condition was disappointing but now have two copies. Ended up buying the second edition and am in the process of reading it. Major Plaster does a fine job of covering the sniper craft and does it in spades!

In 1970 the No4 Mk1 (T) and No4 Mk1* (T) rifles were replaced with an updated version known as the L42A1 which were built from these existing No4 sniper rifles. This conversion was performed by the Royal Small Arms Factory, Enfield, and incorporated a number of changes.
